This bacterium has many pest and insect resistant genes which can be transferred from the bacterium to a plant/animal of interest ( Brinjal in BT Brinjal's case, cotton in BT cotton's case). It is not injecting a 'krimi' or any worm into the plant. These resistant genes once get integrated into the brinjal plant will impart inborne resistance to the pests thus avoiding the need of pesticides/insecticides. This prccess is extremely scientific and needs years of research experience, statistics to support and systematic research.
